More grad school update...

So, I've still only heard anything definite from UVA. I go there this weekend to present at a fellowship selection competition. I get to spend all day Thursday with various members of the department, which should be awesome. I'm looking forward to that, but not so much the presentation.

Also, I heard this evening that I am wait-listed at UNC, Chapel Hill. I would love to go to UNC, so I'm hoping something will work out so that I get the chance. I was told I am "very high" up on the wait-list, so hopefully that's good news (although I've seen at least 2 or 3 other people who have posted something similar on who_got_in). To put it into perspective, UNC received over 250 applications and are looking for an entering class of about 7 or 8. The odds aren't so good. But we'll see.
